SURFACE PROTECTIVE MATERIAL FOR ALUMINUM, STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL
SPV 9205 is a surface protection tape suitable to protect high gloss metals during mechanical processes such as deep drawing and profiling. This product consists of a blue transparent PE film coated with a pressure sensitive “easy-peel” acrylic-based adhesive.
This product protects the substrate during processing against scratches and impurities. The tape features a high adhesion level and the adhesive has a good humidity resistance. The ‘easy peel’ behaviour of the adhesives shows a low unwind and tension during lamination process. It requires only a minimal peeling force to remove the tape easily from the protected surface. This peeling force will decrease in function of the removal speed. The use of SPV 9205 in these processes gives the advantage of substantial reduction of lubricants and cleaning handlings, resulting in lower operational costs. The transparency of this tape allows easy identification and inspection of the protected substrates.
