General Description

SPV 225

SURFACE PROTECTIVE MATERIAL FOR STAINLESS STEEL AND ROUGH ALUMINUM

Blue, PVC Film, High Adhesion, Excellent Deformation Behavior, Good Weatherability

SPV 225 is a surface protection tape with a unique deformation behavior. The product consists of a blue transparent or clear transparent PVC film coated with a pressure sensitive acrylic-based adhesive. For easy unwind, the backing of the PVC-film is coated with a special silicone release. SPV 225 is a comparable product as SPV 224, but has a higher adhesion level and is therefore more suitable for structured stainless steel and rough aluminum.

Features

The combination of the PVC film with the acrylic adhesive allows an excellent deformation behavior during deep drawing processses.
The PVC film in combination with the silicone release coating offers good lubrication during deep drawing, resulting in a substantial reduction of lubricants.
The tape has enough oil resistance and is therefore usable to protect metals after milling operations.
This product has a good weatherability
The transparency of SPV 225 allows easy identification and inspection of the protected substrates.
