Quality Management System Achievements

September 2009 – Lakewood, NJ and Novi, MI plant re-registered to ISO/TS16949.


July 2009Lakewood, NJ and Novi, MI facilities re-registered to ISO9001. Lakewood, NJ re-registered to AS9100


October 2008 - Livonia Plant operations relocated to Novi, MI.  ISO/TS 16949 registration transferred to Novi.

June 2007Livonia, MI plant awarded Ford Motor Company Q1 designation.

December 2003 - Livonia, MI and Lakewood, NJ facilities upgraded from QS 9000 to ISO/TS 16949.

June 2002 - All facilities upgraded to AS9100 Aerospace Standard.

November 2000 - Corporate ISO 9000 registration and upgrade to AS 9000 and QS 9000 for all sites.

February 2000 - Livonia, MI converting facility reregistered to QS 9000 & ISO 9002.

February 1999 - Lakewood, NJ manufacturing plant reregistered to ISO 9002 and upgraded to QS 9000
   (Automotive) and AS 9000 (Aerospace).

January 1997 - Livonia, MI converting facility registered to QS 9000 & ISO 9002

November 1995 - Lakewood, NJ manufacturing plant registered to ISO 9002

WE WILL ALWAYS DELIVER HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCE/SPECIFIED TAPES AND OTHER PRODUCTS, FOAMS AND STRUCTURAL REINFORCING PATCHES TO ACHIEVE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
       

We define quality as:

  • Product performance and consistency that always meets or exceeds the needs of our customer at a fair price.
  • Total quality encompassing product design and planning, raw materials, processing, packaging, shipping, delivery and customer service.
  • Products and processes which are safe and environmentally friendly.

Executive Management demonstrates its commitment to customer satisfaction, to meeting or exceeding the requirements of the applicable quality standards and to continual improvement in quality, service, cost and technology by establishing measurable objectives consistent with our Quality Policy and Nitto Global Excellence Initiatives. We allocate the required resources and by promoting company-wide improvement programs to achieve the objectives.

We communicate with customers to fully understand their needs and expectations. Through training, our objectives, customer requirements as well as legal and other requirements are conveyed to internal functions at all levels. 

Management holds Quarterly Management Review meetings to review customer and vendor data, operational and business performance data, audit results, and the results of corrective and preventive actions to assess the effectiveness of the system and identify areas for continual improvement activities.
